It is a wrap! Last week was full of wonderful moments of celebration and meditation.
- Wednesday’s Prayer Meeting was powerful. God’s Spirit is moving and more people are coming to join in to praise, pray, and listen to the Lord!
- Thursday was the GVFH Christian Academy’s Open House, and the Lord used our entire staff, and volunteer team to serve our community in a unique way. We welcomed close to 400 children not counting the adults who accompanied the kids! This activity clearly covered some aspects for each of our pillars
- Foster Care – The foster children were invited to come and participate.
- Education and Skills Training – The school was promoted,and there were tons of educational games, fun valuable skills learning stations, and introduction to basic English.
- Health & Wellness – In this stressful period for the people of Haiti, a day on GVFH’s campus filled with laughter, relaxation, and exercise, was the best medicine.
- Spiritual Formation – At the center of everything we do, no matter what audience we get the opportunity to address, we must share the Good News of the gospel and so we wove this message into the entire day. We opened the day with prayer, our coloring stations focused on the death and resurrection of Jesus (which the participants took home), and we gave out a small circular decor with Bible verses to the children as they were leaving.
- Saturday, we invited the community to watch the Jesus film. Our second Easter showing of this powerful film was well attended!
- Sunday, very early in the morning (6am ish), we gathered for our very first church service on GVFH’s campus. LifePoint church joined us for a powerful joint Easter sunrise service!
As we spend time this season and everyday reflecting on God’s sacrifice for us, His everlasting love, and faithfulness, we are honored to be called His children, to serve Him and be part of His perfect plan!
We praise God for GVFH’s incredible staff and volunteer team, for the outpouring of our community’s response to GVFH’s campus events, and for the signs that God is working here and that His love is being known!
