As we approach the end of the year, we want to pause and highlight something very close to our hearts: the Foster Care pillar of God’s Vision for Haiti.
Foster care is where our ministry began. Over the years it has directly touched the lives of hundreds of children, and its ripple effects have reached countless families and communities across southern Haiti through awareness sessions, education, and collaboration.
And at the center of this story are Haiti’s foster families — true heroes.
They open their homes to children in need without receiving any regular stipends, often while managing already limited resources. Their willingness to step in and say yes is nothing short of a calling from God.
Because of generous partners like you, GVFH is able to walk alongside these families—providing medical care, school support, essential kits, ongoing staff visits, and spiritual and emotional care. But the reality is:
- Foster care is our most costly pillar—and the least funded.
- It is the only pillar with no built-in revenue source.
- It represents 31% of our ministry’s budget.
- Praise God—55% of next year’s foster care budget is already pledged!
Our prayer this year is simple and bold:
That our foster care pillar would be fully funded, so we can always respond quickly when a vulnerable child needs safety, stability, and a chance at life.
How You Can Partner With Us This Season
As you plan your year-end giving, would you prayerfully consider supporting the GVFH Foster Care program?
Giving a one-time or recurring gift designated toward foster care
Give on GivingTuesday and Double Your Impact!
On December 2, we will officially launch our year-end campaign with GivingTuesday.
On that day, every gift designated to foster care will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $4000 — allowing you to make twice the impact for children and families in Haiti.
You can help even more by becoming an ambassador:
- Share this page with friends
- Share our Giving Tuesday page on social media
- Invite others to join in what God is doing
From the bottom of our hearts—thank you.
Your prayers, generosity, and partnership make it possible for vulnerable children to experience safety, belonging, and hope!
