Ministry is beautiful. But it’s also heavy.

Serving in Haiti means walking closely with children who’ve experienced more than they should ever have to carry. It means navigating broken systems and showing up for sick bodies and weary hearts. Some days are simply hard.

And that’s why joy matters so much.

One of our favorite team rhythms happens on the last Friday of every month: we stop and celebrate staff birthdays. Cake. Music. Laughter. Nothing fancy — but deeply meaningful.

For a moment, we’re not just solving problems or carrying responsibility. We’re family. We breathe. We laugh. We remember why we do this together.

Healthy ministry requires healthy people.

These small celebrations strengthen our team, build unity, and refill emotional tanks before we step back into foster care visits, clinic appointments, classroom challenges, and community outreach.

Want a glimpse of the joy? Here’s a short video from our recent celebration:

Thank you for being the kind of community that supports not just programs — but people. Your prayers and generosity make space for both faithfulness and joy.

Please keep praying for endurance, unity, and deep-rooted joy for our team.

P.S. Even in hard places, joy is holy. Thank you for helping us hold onto it.
