As we continue celebrating the “firsts” that have shaped God’s Vision for Haiti, this week we’re going back to 2019.

That’s when the very first building on the GVFH campus was completed: the Mission House.

Today, the Mission House is home to our family. But from the beginning, it has served several purposes. In those early days, our staff used part of the house as office space, and it was also designed to welcome small mission teams and guests who came to serve alongside us.

Since 2019, we’ve had the privilege of welcoming many people through its doors – some coming to serve, others to learn more about the ministry and experience firsthand what God is doing in Haiti.

It gave us a place to live, work, welcome others, and continue building the vision God had placed on our hearts.

And it was only the beginning.

In 2021, construction of the Ministry Center was completed, creating space for our growing ministry and the services we were beginning to provide.

Then came another big milestone.

In August 2023, construction of GVFH Christian Academy was completed. Just a few weeks later, students walked through its doors for the very first time.

Today, when we look around the campus, we don’t just see buildings. 

We see children learning in classrooms.

We see patients receiving care.

We see our team serving foster children and families.

We see people gathering to worship, pray, and grow in their faith.

Every building has created space for ministry to happen. And you helped build it.

Your generosity over the years has helped turn empty ground into places where children are learning, families are being strengthened, people are receiving care, and the love of Christ is being shared.

As we celebrate our first 10 years, we’re incredibly grateful for how far God has brought us, and for every person who has helped make this possible.

And we’re excited to keep building together.
