At times it feels like a lifetime ago, and other times the memories of January 24, 2017 are so fresh they feel like yesterday.

It has been nine years since our family said yes to a calling—one far bigger than any of us. The day we stepped onto Haitian soil, we officially said yes to something we didn’t fully understand. But in that moment, our purpose as a family changed forever, becoming part of something far greater than ourselves.

Over these past nine years, we have witnessed God work in and through us—and through God’s Vision for Haiti—in ways we could never have imagined. What began from scratch, with one pillar and one step of faith at a time, has grown only because God faithfully placed the right people, with the same compassion and heart, along the journey at exactly the right time.

We are deeply grateful for each person who has played a role in our lives as missionaries and in the life of the GVFH ministry. Your prayers, encouragement, generosity, and friendship have been instrumental in bringing the ministry to where it is today.

Over the next few weeks, we look forward to taking time to celebrate highlights from the past year and to share what we are trusting God for in the year ahead. Thank you for continuing to walk alongside us in this calling.
