What a fun day! Some of these older foster kids even said that it was their first time at the beach – even though we live on an island and for some of the kids, the beach is only 15 minutes away!  It is so important to share God’s creation and rest and joy with them – they carry so many heavy burdens. A “day at the beach” has taken on so much more meaning in this context. 

Here are some of the comments we heard – “I want to stay here”, “The trip should have been longer”, “I will never forget this!”  Everyone had a great day! 

And, we even added in – in collaboration with IBESR and Terre des Hommes – some life skills training sessions – like proper hygiene, followed-up on the difficult topics we covered with the adolescents a few months ago, and continued with the observation/intervention by the psychological professionals.

What a privilege it is to be a part of these lifetime memories – THANK YOU for making this wonderful day possible!
