As we shared last week, the country of Haiti has been in on and off “Lock” mode, so we are so grateful that we were able to meet as a team this week! Tuesday was a huge milestone for GVFH – our very first Team Building In-service Day for staff and core volunteers! We thank God that it was a huge success. Together we worshiped, prayed, laughed, played, learned, ate, relaxed and encouraged one another – exactly what we all needed. Here’s how we spent our day – some of the covered topics were “firsts” for many.
- Devotion on Colossians 3:23 – Stherline Darbouze (one of our core volunteers)
- Objective / Characteristics of an effective team
- How well do you know the GVFH? Jeopardy Game – hosted by our one and only Juska
- The Power of Positivity
- Team Building Game – Survival Island
- Getting to know each other better – What Animal Am I? Personality Test
- Effective Communication / Crucial Conversation
- Relaxation Moment – Rosemonde Hilaire (the newest addition to our team, she is a Psychologist who works mainly with the foster children)
- General Organizational Expectations (staff only)
- Database update (staff only)
The staffs’ evaluations were extremely positive. Everyone felt refreshed and they are looking forward to how our future Team Building days will top this first 🙂. All praises to the Almighty, great things He has done!
