Ministry in Haiti is very challenging, and this year certainly was too. We praise our Heavenly Father for His everlasting faithfulness, and that He has been using GVFH’s ministry for His glory.

We want to share a sneak peek of what we have accomplished together so far this year, and because it’s a LOT, we’ll share it over four emails – on Wednesday and Friday these next two weeks.
Today, here’s what we’re working on in our Foster Care ministry –
- 11 placements of vulnerable children in loving foster families
- 9 family mediations
- 5 new foster families evaluated
- 3 searches for biological relatives
- 3 children reunified with biological relatives
- 59 care kits given to the foster children and families (food, clothing, and hygiene kits)
- 2 trainings/activities for our adolescents who are placed in foster homes
- 445 monthly follow up visits and calls to check in our our 50+ foster children
- 2 group recruitment sessions for potential foster families and many 1:1 recruitments
- Monthly meetings with IBESR and others to improve Foster Care in the South and perhaps the entire country
