As you know, there are so many opportunities before us, and that we are growing at a pace that only God can help us keep up with, and so we wanted to share this program idea with you.
It takes a Village – A Village Partnership changes lives in both places
LifePoint Church in Waldorf, Maryland has been serving alongside us in Haiti as a Village Partner since almost the very beginning, and they are changing our community – and theirs – by supporting special projects related to our four pillars: Foster Care, Education, Job Creation, & Discipleship.
LifePoint Church’s most recent Village Partnership project just launched our child sponsorship program to give our foster children and some of the most vulnerable children in our community access to education! LifePoint members are so much a part of GVFH, that when asked to help sponsor these children, all of the 42 children were sponsored on a single Sunday morning, and there is a waiting list with additional sponsors who are eagerly waiting to bless the new children who are placed in our foster homes and identified for the education program!
There is more… The Founder and President of Beyond the Classroom is a LifePointer, and she gifted us with backpacks and school supplies to bless the children in the Education Program. Each child will receive the books and supplies they need to succeed. We were so excited to start putting these school kits together.
