As we continue celebrating 10 years of God’s Vision for Haiti, we’re looking back at some of the milestones that have shaped our journey.

This week, we’re remembering the day our school welcomed its very first students.

On September 11, 2023, God’s Vision for Haiti Christian Academy officially opened its doors.

That morning, 52 students walked into classrooms filled with excitement, curiosity, and a few nervous smiles. Their parents entrusted us with something incredibly precious – the education of their children.

We knew we weren’t simply opening a school. We were investing in futures.

Since that first day, God has continued to grow the Academy in ways that encourage us every year. The following school year, enrollment grew to 124 students. Last year, 158 students filled our classrooms, and we’re excited to welcome even more children as we prepare for the 2026–2027 school year.

Preparation is already well underway.

We recently learned that September 7 has been set as the first day of school in Haiti. Our teachers have completed a week-long professional development training led by a team of Haitian educators who are passionate about strengthening education across the country. We are grateful for their investment in our staff and students.

Every new school year is another opportunity to help children grow – not only academically, but also spiritually and emotionally.
